Manchester United fans were absolutely delighted with Michael Carrick‘s performance vs Watford on the final day of the Premier League season.
The Englishman is set to retire at the end of current campaign but was given what supporters expect to be his last match for the club.
Jose Mourinho decided to start his captain for the match at Old Trafford to give Carrick the right kind of send off and he was right to do so.
It was difficult enough to witness the veteran midfielder’s final match for his side at home and was more difficult by him enjoying a top performance.
Michael is the type of player fans feel should never retire but he’s decided to call it a day and there’s no doubt he will be sorely missed.
Michael Carrick has just played an absolutely fantastic pass to set up Rashford's goal. Clever run from Mata but Carrick's pass was top class. He's having a good game.

It will be even greater to see Michael Carrick retire on the back of Manchester United winning the FA Cup trophy to give him one last victory.
Mourinho’s men are set to take on Chelsea at Wembley and it’s unlikely the former West Ham man will feature but he’ll still get a winners medal.
Either way, United could do with Carrick’s calming influences on matches, particularly since the clash against the Blues is expected to be a heated one.
