David de Gea has been named in the 2017-18 Champions League Team of the Tournament after another stunning season at Manchester United.
De Gea’s brilliance in between the sticks has earned himself a place in the team, despite exiting the competition at the last 16 stage in humiliating fashion after losing to Sevilla at Old Trafford.
He has impressed on all fronts for Man United once again and was named the 2018 Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for the fourth time in five years, as well as Players’ Player of the Year at the club’s annual end of season awards ceremony.
He is joined in the team by seven players from the clubs who will play out Saturday’s final in Kiev, Real Madrid in Liverpool, as well as representatives from Juventus, Manchester City and Barcelona.

De Gea conceded just three goals in the four group stage matches he featured in whilst pulling off mouth-dropping saves as he so normally does, and features in the PFA Team of the Year for the fifth time in six seasons.
Jose Mourinho has already confirmed that he won’t be going anywhere in the transfer window, so expect more spellbinding quality in England from the Spaniard next term.
