Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a bid for CSKA Moscow’s Aleksandr Golovin as Jose Mourinho continues to chase his transfer targets ahead of the highly anticipated World Cup.
The Portuguese manager was said to be watching Austria vs Russia in order to scout West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic who was also linked to the club but new reports now claim it was for the Russian.
Golovin is highly rated in his home country and could be just the type of player Mourinho is searching for to give his side the creative spark needed.
The youngster will be on show for the whole world during the tournament in Russia and it could give the former Real Madrid boss more time to make a decision.
Although Jose insisted he’s not looking to change his attacking options, he could be tempted into making a move for the attacking midfielder.
The Spaniard had problems with the former Chelsea manager before during their time together at Stamford Bridge and although he survived for two seasons at Old Trafford, his time might finally be up.
