New Manchester United signing Fred was spotted with Neymar in the Brazil camp as the pair embraced following his successful transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The talented midfielder was made Jose Mourinho’s first summer signing following days, if not weeks of speculation.
It was a race between himself and Porto’s Diogo Dalot to join United first but it’s clear to see the former won.
The young right-back though is expected to be announced soon though so fans have nothing to worry about in that regard.
Mourinho discussed before the season closed that he would focus his efforts on his midfield and defence and so the signing of Fred certainly addresses that.
Neymar himself was of course linked with a move to the Red Devils since leaving Barcelona but nothing real has transpired just yet.
PSG are unlikely to sell cheap and with Jose said to be focusing on multiple targets rather than one, it would mean a move for the skilful Brazilian is almost impossible.
Manchester United would have to blow their budget for the former Barcelona star but for now they got their man in Fred.
The move for the Shakhtar Donetsk man is a clear indication of the Portuguese manager’s plans to play a 4-3-3 formation in order to release key player Paul Pogba.
