Manchester United stars Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini contributed to the goals as Belgium comfortably beat Egypt 3-0 in a World Cup warm-up match on Wednesday night.
Lukaku was put through on goal brilliantly by Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, who bagged the second of the game, to net his 34th international goal and open the scoring in the 27th minute.
Fellaini joined the action from the bench and slotted home Belgium’s third in stoppage time to cap off an impressive performance just a week before the tournament kicks off in Russia.
The pair are two of 12 Man United players featuring at the World Cup ahead of Jose Mourinho’s biggest season as manager yet in the 2018-19 campaign, with pre-season preparations beginning on July 15.
However, Fellaini may not actually be on the plane jetting off to the pre-season tour of the United States as it becomes more likely that he will leave the club at the end of the month.
The 30-year-old has turned down more than one contract extension offer from United and is expected to leave as a free agent once his current deal expires on July 1.
Lukaku, however, will be looking to build on the 27 goals he netted in his impressive debut season at Old Trafford when next term rolls around in August.
