Manchester United step up interest in Chelsea’s Willian: report

Manchester United are reportedly stepping up their interest in Chelsea star Willian by preparing a bid for him as they look to add quality to their squad.

Jose Mourinho has signed Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred and Porto’s Diogo Dalot so far this summer but things have since slowed down with the former even having some issues.

The midfielder isn’t officially a United player just yet as his transfer fee has been agreed but no personal details nor a medical have been completed.

Nonetheless, Willian is being targeted by Mourinho with the two having a history of working together during their time with the Blues for a few years.

The Brazilian would be a welcome addition to the Portuguese manager’s right side of the attack but whether he’s a necessary buy or not is up for debate.

According to Off the Post, the Daily Mail report the Red Devils are preparing a £60m bid for the former Shakhtar Donetsk man in the hopes of adding a new dimension to their dull attack.

Some fans have called on Jose to focus on more crucial areas of the pitch such as the defence and midfield rather than trying to fix an already pretty impressive attack.
