Roy Keane: I should’ve ripped Carlos Queiroz’s head off

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United icon Roy Keane has bizarrely revealed his regret at not ripping off Iran manager Carlos Queiroz’s head off during the pair’s time together at the club.

The Portuguese boss spent some time at Old Trafford working as Sir Alex Ferguson’s assistant, helping him maintain the success he achieved throughout the years.

Queiroz currently manages an Iran side who have gained some plaudits for the way they’ve played in the World Cup so far, managing a win against Morocco and a narrow 1-0 loss to Spain.

It appears as though something happened between the two that’s still upset Keane and he didn’t hold back in sharing what he should’ve done to deal with the situation.

Carlos may want to avoid bumping into the Irishman from now on if he can help it, especially with both men currently in Russia- one as a manager and the other as a pundit.

At least Roy was fair in his judgement of the man, adding on to the rare reviews Carlos has already received of being an excellent coach from various players.

Whether he’s a good manager as well is up for debate but he’s certainly done well so far with Iran and viewers could see just what was meant by being defensive minded.
