Marcus Rashford has been working hard in training ahead of a possible start for England against Belgium in Kaliningrad on Thursday night.
The 20-year-old impressed from the bench during England’s 2-1 win over Tunisia last week and was tipped to start ahead of Raheem Sterling against Panama.
Gareth Southgate eventually opted to play the Manchester City man, leaving Rashford on the bench, but the Englishman could be in line to feature against Belgium should the England boss choose to make a few changes to his starting XI.
He has taken to social media to show he was putting in the hard yards at England’s training base in Repine ahead of a crucial clash with Roberto Martinez’s men.

Cristiano Ronaldo dazzled the watching world with a free kick against Spain. Aleksandr Golovin also buried one. Toni Kroos raised the bar with a strike which effectively saved Germany’s entire campaign.
All that is left, really, is for Rashford to show Ronaldo what a knuckleball free-kick really looks like. It is time for him to show Toni Kroos what clutch play truly is.
Failing that, it is certainly time for Rashford, following in Jesse Lingard‘s footsteps, to demonstrate what he can do up front on the world stage. This is a game he absolutely has to start.
