Manchester United fans are absolutely furious with Jose Mourinho’s and the club’s potential decision to extend Marouane Fellaini‘s contract.
The Belgian international is reportedly just hours away from signing a contract renewal that will see him remain at Old Trafford for yet another two seasons.
Fellaini has always been the scapegoat for United supporters for their club’s failures since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, particularly since he was brought in by David Moyes.
The midfielder is largely believed to not be of the right quality that the fans are used to having previously enjoyed the likes of Paul Scholes and Roy Keane amongst many others.
Marouane’s contract was set to expire at the end of the month had it not been for the renewal offer and now supporters will have to watch him for two more years much to their dismay.
If Jose has allowed Martial to join Memphis I’m leaving and smashing it, and keeps around Fellaini, then the significant number of disgruntled fans is going to grow like wild fire.
He’s really making it hard for himself with this one. It’s inexplicable.

Manchester City getting Jorginho, Liverpool getting Fabinho and Keita, Arsenal getting Torreira, Manchester United begging Fellaini to sign a new contract.
This club is finito.

I’ve just woke up to the news Fellaini could be staying until 2020. We are completely finished and have been made a complete laughing stock by giving in to a squad player’s demands.

My biggest gripe if Fellaini does stay is not with the player; he's looking out for number one as we all would. It's with the club who have allowed this to drag on & give fellaini control. Something not right there. Should've withdrawn the offer as soon as the World Cup started.

We beg Fellaini to stay but drive a massive talent like Anthony Martial out. José Mourinho, he’s actually finished. Finito.

Don’t care what Mourinho achieves in his last season, giving Fellaini a new deal is going to taint his Utd career forever. Diabolical decision which sets the club back years AGAIN. #mufc

Though it wasn’t right of the club to allow Fellaini to gain such power in contract negotiations there must be something about the player that has made him such a crucial man for his managers.
David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Mourinho have all spoken highly of the former Everton man, focussing on his mental attributes and willingness to die for the team.
