Manchester United have confirmed they’ve renewed two youngsters’ deals in Zak Dearnley and Callum Whelan who are both tipped for a first team future.
The club have made it their priority recently to tie down their academy stars to long term commitments as Nicky Butt continues to revamp the youth side of things.
The head of coaching for the academy has attempted to bring it all back to the high standards it once had and has so far seen plenty of success.
Butt, along with other staff members such as Kieran McKenna, have helped develop the club’s younger stars, providing a mix of local talent and players from abroad.
Dearnley and Whelan are both highly rated and tipped to have bright futures, having the perfect role model in Marcus Rashford who rocketed to first team action after just being an academy player.
We are delighted to announce Zak Dearnley and Callum Whelan have both signed new deals with #MUFC.

Zak is a versatile winger and forward as most strikers tend to be nowadays while Callum is a midfielder- unfortunately areas on the pitch that United are well stocked in.
Perhaps the departure of one or two first team stars could see a pathway to the first team develop for the two youngsters if luck goes their way.
