From Italy: Juventus want between €35-40m for Manchester United target Alex Sandro

Juventus will let Manchester United target Alex Sandro leave the club for a fee between €35-40m this summer, according to reports from Italy.

The Brazilian left-back emerged as one of the club’s main targets ahead of the window, with some reports even suggesting the move would be completed soon after the FA Cup final in May.

But talk of Sandro has since gone quiet; Jose Mourinho’s emphasis at the moment seems to be on acquiring a new central defender.

According to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, Juventus want around €35-40m for Sandro – also subject to interest from Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea – in order to finance a transfer for either Matteo Darmian and Juan Bernat.

Offloading Darmian and bringing in Sandro, a mobile and energetic force on the left hand side, would be a sensational bit of business, and create the feeling among supporters that – for the first time since early June – this club is moving in the right direction in this transfer window.

But one thing worth noting is that, for all the talk of Sandro in Italy, hardly anything has been said of the matter in England. Practically nothing. At the moments it seems like these rumours are exactly that, and nothing more.
