Fred: I’m fully committed to working hard for Manchester United

Manchester United’s latest major signing Fred has delivered a passionate message to fans stating he is fully committed to working hard for the club.

The Brazilian will meet up with the rest of his teammates for pre-season soon after his holiday finishes after his excursions in the World Cup.

Unfortunately the former Shakhtar Donetsk man couldn’t make an appearance for his nation due to an injury but deserves a holiday just as the other United players.

The midfielder is widely expected to slot in alongside Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba as part of Jose Mourinho’s engine room in a 4-3-3 formation.

It’s largely believed Fred was bought by the Portuguese manager in order to free up the Frenchman who has had an incredible World Cup campaign so far.

It was good to see the 25 year old send a message to the fans after being seen on social media reminiscing on his Shakhtar days.

Mourinho does have some strong decisions to make on his midfielders ahead of the new season as even with a midfield three, he’s overstocked.

Along with Fred, Pogba and Matic there are also the likes of Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Scott McTominay and youngsters Andreas Pereira and Timothy Fosu-Mensah who returned from loan spells.
