Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez hasn’t travelled with the squad for their pre-season tour in the United States of America due to visa problems.
The Chilean was a surprise omission with some reports even claiming he was already going to be moved on despite just signing in January.
However, more logically it seems he’s not travelled with his teammates due to being unable to be granted an American visa.
It’s certainly a disappointment and a hamper on Sanchez’s pre-season plans as it would’ve been his first with United, allowing him to experience just how global the club is.
There’s some hope that the former Arsenal man will be granted a waiver but should that not be the case, he’ll unfortunately miss out on it all.
It would mean the winger will end up joining the squad with the rest of the player’s who were with their countries for the World Cup and were granted extended holidays.
Unfortunately it’s a pretty big disruption on Sanchez’s plans and may end up influencing the rest of his Premier League campaign when there’s lots expected.
The former Barcelona star’s inability to truly kick off at United so far was put down to the lack of rest and the need to gel with his teammates.
