Shakhtar Donetsk’s manager Paulo Fonseca has revealed just how long it will take new Manchester United signing Fred to become one of the best in the world.
The Brazilian has been backed by his former boss to soon show that he is amongst the best in his position which is a pretty bold statement to make.
While United fans are excited by the midfielder’s arrival and expect him to slot in alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, there aren’t expectations on him to become world class.
It’s actually the Frenchman who supporters believe will prove his ability to be involved in the debate and he’s gone some way to prove some of them right by winning the World Cup.
Nonetheless, Fonseca worked with Fred for a while and will know him better than most so it would be wise to keep an eye on how he develops.
There’s been plenty of discussion on just what type of player the former Shakhtar Donetsk man is as there have been mixed reports.
Some claim he’s a playmaker, some say he’s a tenacious ball winner and some say he’s an excellent finisher so it seems he’s a bit of an all rounder.
