Manchester United fans disappointed with Scott McTominay’s performance vs Liverpool

Manchester United fans were definitely not pleased with how Scott McTominay performed vs Liverpool in the dreadful 4-1 loss against their rivals.

The Scotsman hasn’t had the best pre-season tour so far and compounded the misery further by failing to put in even just a solid shift.

Tasked to feature alongside Ander Herrera, McTominay couldn’t show any mobility or technical ability in a match most will be hoping to forget quickly.

Some United supporters brushed the result off as just being a pre-season friendly whilst others believe it’s a sign of things to come.

Now many believe Scott’s poor form is proof he should be loaned out this season and his spot in the squad should go to someone else.

That someone else could potentially be Andreas Pereira who left last season to Valencia on loan due to his desire for first team football.

Despite not being guaranteed that this season either he’s stated he is willing to stay and fight for his place this time around.

Ironically, McTominay had only gotten his shot in the starting XI due to Pereira’s departure as he capitalised on Manchester United’s injury crisis.

Had the Belgian remained at Old Trafford, he could’ve potentially helped the club navigate through that period better than they did.
