Manchester United fans have reacted to the club’s latest result and were certainly discouraged by the overall team performance vs Bayern Munich.
Jose Mourinho’s men were less than inspiring against the German champions and shockingly didn’t record a single shot on or off target in the first half.
Marcus Rashford was given the opportunity to lead the line in Romelu Lukaku’s absence but it seems there’s no one as capable as doing so as the Belgian.
The Englishman’s best attributes weren’t on show and he was constantly being isolated by his teammates as well as the opposition.
None the less, it wasn’t Rashford who singlehandedly couldn’t perform and the team was actually pretty solid defensively, it was in the attacking third that the most of United’s play broke down which left supporters thoroughly frustrated.
Soft goal conceded by #mufc, who've looked defensively dicey all pre-season, yet have entered the final four days of the window without signing a centre-back. No wonder Mourinho's irked.

Defensively sound. Attacking non existent. Passing in Bayern half poor.

HT. It's like we are concentrating so very hard on the defensive side of the game (which has been good) that we've lost all our imagination going forwards (which has been nonexistent).

Lack of ideas from United in the first half, almost the entire 45mins has been played in our half.
Only positive is Lindelof and Bailly look like a nice center half partnership. #mufc

Hopefully the Red Devils’ relatively poor pre-season is not an indicator of the way the upcoming Premier League campaign will go.
Mourinho’s men will face off against Leicester City at Old Trafford for the first competitive match of the season and they’ll want to kick things off with a bang.
It’s a crucial season for the Portuguese boss who may lose his job if he doesn’t win the Premier League title in his third year at the club.
