Anthony Martial is reportedly still looking to leave Manchester United and AC Milan could be about to offer him a way out this summer.
The Italian transfer window closes at the end of August which means players such as Matteo Darmian, Paul Pogba and Martial whose futures are in limbo could still leave the club this month.
Martial’s agent came out earlier in the summer and said that the 22-year-old wanted to depart in search of regular first-team football but nothing has materialised yet and he looks likely to remain.
Italian outlet La Repubblica claim that Milan are keeping track on the Martial situation though, and could negotiate a potential deal before the transfer window slams shut.
The France international started on the bench as Man United defeated Leicester City 2-1 at Old Trafford in the 2018-19 Premier League curtain-raiser and is likely to be regularly overlooked by Jose Mourinho once again this term to accommodate January signing Alexis Sanchez.
Plenty of United supporters don’t want to see Martial leave the club due to the phenomenal potential he carries with him, but it’s looking very likely he’ll be on his way.
That won’t happen this summer though considering the transfer market is now closed for English clubs and Mourinho wouldn’t be able to get a replacement in.
