Pundit Ian Wright has warned Jose Mourinho over his feud with Paul Pogba, believing he will lose the fight in the future if it continues.
The pair are in the news once more since the Frenchman responded to questions on his happiness by saying he can’t say how he feels otherwise he’ll be fined.
There’s no surprise rumours the relationship between the two has disintegrated have resurfaced once more since it tends to do well for the media.
Pogba has been criticised before by Mourinho and the duo are said to have bumped heads several times since with no end in sight.
However, the former Juventus man was actually praised by his boss before he made his comment that has yet to be clarified.
According to Manchester Evening News, Ian said to BBC 5 Live: “I don’t think there is anything else at Manchester United that could be causing his [Pogba’s] angst apart from his manager.
“The players love him, the fans love him, Ed Woodward loves him because he’s not only a magnificent player but on the commercial side he’s a massive, massive asset at Manchester United.
“I think it’s a fight that Mourinho is having with Pogba and Ed Woodward that I think that eventually he will lose because those two guys are much more powerful that Jose Mourinho.
“He [Pogba] is saying that because he has been empowered and he knows that he can make a veiled dig at his manager saying that he would like to say things about his manager.”
The one time Jose publicly said positive things about Paul has seemingly backfired on him with the way the media reacted.
It was also a bizarre comment from the academy product though it was understandable given what the Portuguese manager said over the summer.
Either way, there’s no way the Red Devils can challenge for any type of silverware this season if the pair haven’t sorted out their issues.
Mourinho and Pogba need to be on the same page, particularly since there are enough problems going on behind the scenes already.
