Marcos Rojo set on leaving Manchester United for Fenerbahce: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Marcos Rojo is determined to leave the club according to the latest reports with his eyes set on Fenerbahce.

The Argentinian is said to be Jose Mourinho most dispensable centre-back and so hopes to leave as early as this transfer window.

United have the likes of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof as their options for the first team.

There are five centre-backs fighting for two positions in the starting XI which means there are one too many.

Many believed it would be Smalling or Jones who would be moved on but it seems the Portuguese boss believes they’re more important.

According to Manchester Evening News, Fanatik report Marcos has asked Jose to let him leave to Fenerbahce before the transfer window shuts.

The Red Devils didn’t hide their intentions of signing a new centre-back this summer but their failure to do so gave the opportunity for the club’s existing options.

Perhaps Rojo was told he wouldn’t receive too many minutes this season and so opted to move elsewhere for match-time.

At Fenerbahce he should be a key player and could finally get his career going once again, particularly after the horrific injury he endured last year.
