Manchester United star Fred has shut down rumours stating Jose Mourinho doesn’t communicate with the squad and has restated his happiness of working with the manager.
Lee Sharpe was the one to claim he heard whispers the Portuguese boss doesn’t hold discussions with his players during match-days.
It was a bizarre statement initially but it’s good to see the Brazilian dismiss it either way.
Fred was brought in over the summer as United’s only major signing of the summer with squad reinforcements bought as well in Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.
The midfielder has slotted right into Mourinho’s three man midfield alongside Paul Pogba and ahead of Andreas Pereira.
According to Manchester Evening News, Fred said: “I’m really happy to be working with Jose Mourinho.
“He’s a great person and he’s always keen to communicate with the squad, and to help people to be communicative regarding what they should do on the pitch.
“I’m really happy to be working with him and I hope I’ll be working for him for a while to come.”
Fred is the second player to talk about how thorough Jose is with Pereira also admitting his admiration for the manager.
Former players have also discussed how the former Chelsea boss is a tactical genius and how he always sets his teams up perfectly.
Manchester United fans themselves will admit Mourinho has absolutely nailed tactics, particularly during big matches with the results against the top six last season proving so as well.
The club’s issues against the so called smaller sides seems to have continued this season despite it proving so costly last year.
United were impressive against the top six but were inconsistent against the rest of the league which eventually added up to the 19 points they were behind eventual champions and rivals Manchester City.
