Pundit Martin Keown has called out Manchester United star Paul Pogba’s agent, stating he must have some level of professional dignity in his dealings.
Mino Raiola has stirred up a storm by taking to Twitter to express his dismay at Paul Scholes’ criticism of his client.
The super agent ironically asked the United legend to become the club’s director of football and to then sell Pogba.
Fans have grown increasingly frustrated with Raiola’s bid to move his client onwards and want the Frenchman to leave him.
Keown feels nothing that drastic has to happen but that Paul must ask his agent to deal better with such situations.
According to Manchester Evening News, Martin said: “Pogba’s agent will feel he is only acting in the best interests of his client.
“Pogba is being criticised and he will want to defend him. But you want someone representing you who will not shoot from the hip whenever they hear something that is not favourable.
“There needs to be a level of professional dignity. Pogba can tell his agent to try to keep a lid on things and not to react.”
Sir Alex Ferguson wasn’t a fan of dealing with Mino which is what initially saw Pogba leave the first time around.
The academy product left for virtually nothing after a breakdown in negotiations, moving on to Juventus where he developed into the top player he was expected to become.
Paul was then brought back by Jose Mourinho for a then world record fee that has hung heavy on the player’s shoulders.
Now the pair are said to have had a breakdown in their relationship too and it seems the midfielder’s days at the club are numbered.
