Real Madrid and Spain defender Dani Carvajal contacted Luke Shaw after the Englishman came off worse in a collision between the two during England’s 1-2 defeat to La Roja at Wembley on Saturday, according to reports.
Shaw, who has been Manchester United’s best player so far this season, produced a wondrous assist in the first half against Luis Enrique’s side.
He was involved in a nasty collision with Carvajal in the second period and spent a lengthy time on the floor receiving oxygen before being stretchered off.
The FA confirmed on Sunday that Shaw had received a concussion and would return to Carrington this week for further assessment, although it is evident the injury is not as serious as initially feared.
According to Marca and other media outlets, Carvajal went into the England dressing room to find Shaw but the left-back was receiving treatment elsewhere.
Carvajal therefore asked David de Gea for Shaw’s phone number and immediately messaged the Man United defender. Shaw responded promptly, insisting there were no hard feelings and acknowledging that the incident was merely a collision caused by a loose ball.
Other players, like Marcus Rashford and Sergio Ramos, also sent their messages of support to Shaw after the game,
