Paul Pogba has videoed himself in fantastic spirits as he returned to Carrington ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Watford on Saturday.
The Frenchman has caused a stir over the international break by refusing to rule out joining Barcelona on several occasions.
Many supporters have turned on him completely, while pundits, like Gary Neville, had branded him as a mercenary or even disgrace.
But Pogba, decked out in full Adidas gear, did not seem too fussed with the noise surrounding his name, and seemed almost giddy in the Manchester sun as he pulled up for training.
Pogba recording extremely happy – even manically happy – videos when the sun comes out in Manchester is a wonderfully recurring phenomenon.
It makes you think: is Pogba really masterminding a PR offensive to push through a move to Barcelona through cryptic quotes and sulking on the pitch at United? Honestly, I don’t think so.
Pogba does not take things that seriously. Pogba actively enjoys life – a concept alien to most of us – and takes each day as it comes. Perhaps that explains the inconsistency in his game. He is not a player who is relentlessly “at it” every week. But that is just his character, and we ought to accept that.
He may not be agitating for a move to Barcelona like many claim, but his agent Mino Raiola certainly will be.
