Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola to discuss player’s future with Manchester United in November – report

Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola will meet with Manchester United officials in November to discuss the midfielder’s future at the club.

The Frenchman looks unlikely to be playing at Old Trafford next season amid an ongoing row between him and Man United manager Jose Mourinho.

Pogba made comments in the summer, after the English transfer window had already closed, that seemed to suggest a move to La Liga champions FC Barcelona would be possible in future, and has since made further remarks that have angered Mourinho.

The vice-captaincy was taken off Pogba earlier this week before United’s loss to Championship side Derby County on penalties in the League Cup Third Round.

Pogba and Mourinho were then filmed in an angry exchange at the club’s Carrington training ground. With Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain all interested, Raiola will meet with United to determine whether his client will be allowed to leave in the January or summer transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano reports in the Guardian that Pogba is happy in England and happy at United and enjoying playing with his teammates but can’t see a future at the club while Mourinho is manager, and is therefore open to a move.

Raiola is also reportedly waiting to meet until November in case Mourinho is sacked as manager before then. United have won just a quarter of their home games so far this season and are already some way off the leading candidates for the Premier League title.

The report confirms what most already suspected, that Pogba is happy at United but doesn’t want to continue to play under Mourinho. While no player is bigger than the club, and Mourinho was right to remove Pogba as vice-captain for his comments, many other players in the United squad will have similar feelings to Pogba and there could be a mass exodus if the Portuguese is kept in charge beyond the end of the season.
