Alexis Sanchez ecstatic following late winner vs Newcastle

Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez has reacted to his late winner against Newcastle, celebrating with his followers on Instagram.

The Chilean has faced plenty of criticism this season after putting in some underwhelming performances but he came off the bench to good effect on Saturday.

United found themselves 2-0 down within the first 10 minutes of the match but scored thrice to win it late in remarkable fashion.

Sanchez was the player who jumped highest to head home the winner, leaving some fans believing this will be the turning point in his career.

It’s clear to see the former Arsenal man enjoyed the goal he scored and it should potentially give him the necessary confidence to experience a positive season.

Alexis had actually had a near perfect pre-season as he seemed to be well-rested after having a summer off for the first time in a few years.

The winger essentially carried United on his back in the friendly fixtures but the moment competitive football began he fell apart.

Sanchez’s poor form saw him eventually dropped for Anthony Martial, who also scored against Newcastle but he can still recover his spot in the starting XI following the international break.

The former Barcelona man’s goal has potentially saved Jose Mourinho’s job even if it is temporarily.
