Aaron Ramsey’s camp have refused to rule out a move to Manchester United at the end of the season.
The Arsenal midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and will be free to talk to clubs from January onwards.
Man United are one of a number of Premier League rivals of Arsenal’s that have already been linked with Ramsey.
The Welshman had been in talks about extending his stay at the Emirates but talks have broken down recently.
The Manchester Evening News reports that a source close to Ramsey was unable to rule out United as an option for the midfielder.
“There can’t be any interest in him at the moment because of the regulations,” the source said.
“Might be different at the end of the season. Who knows?”
Ramsey would likely demand huge wages were he to join United. While there are some notably high earners at Old Trafford like Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba, most others follow a similar wage structure.
Breaking that structure for Ramsey, a good player but not a great one, could prove a mistake.
However, he would present good value on a free transfer at the end of the season. Juventus has made a good policy of bringing in players for free and United could follow suit.
