Former-Juventus assistant manager Angelo Alessio has admitted that everyone at the club would love to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba return to Serie A.

The Frenchman left Juventus in August 2016 in an £89 million move to Man United, where he played his football as a teenager.

Now with tensions between Pogba and United manager Jose Mourinho, it looks a significant possibility that the 25-year-old will leave the club next summer.

Juventus are one possibility, despite certain club officials denying that, while FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, champions of their respective countries, are also options.

Alessio believes everyone at Juventus would welcome Pogba back.

“Pogba? It would be nice to see him again in black and white,” Alessio told

The two sides face off in the UEFA Champions League very soon, with back-to-back fixtures in the competition. The first match is at Old Trafford before United travel to Turin and the Allianz Stadium in early November.

“Manchester United are a club with a very strong team and, if it picks up confidence, can beat anyone on their day,” Alessio conceded.

“It would be wrong to believe that you are facing a troubled team.

“The Old Trafford will certainly be a pit, but I do not think it will be a problem for Juventus.”

It will be a very difficult match for United, at home and away, especially as the two European fixtures are in a spell which also includes Manchester City and Chelsea.
