Jose Mourinho eyeing Alessio Romagnoli and Milan Skriniar transfers: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a move for Serie A stars Alession Romagnoli and Milan Skriniar.

Both defenders represent the kind of signings the board are said to be happy with chasing as they are young and potentially relatively cheap.

AC Milan and Inter Milan respectively may not wish to part with players of their potential but with the financial issues both clubs currently face, things could work in United’s favour.

Romagnoli and Milan would both certainly be an upgrade on the club’s current options whether as starters or back-up players with potential.

It’s no real surprise to see the Portuguese manager aim to sign them though he’s also been linked with moves for other young stars.

According to Sportskeeda, ESPN report that Jose is targeting Alessio and Skriniar this winter with their price-tags said to be at £40m each respectively.

The former Real Madrid manager clearly feels the centre-back position is a problem area for his side and is willing to bring in two fresh faces to deal with the issue.

However, it would also mean some of the Red Devils current crop will have to be let go with the likes of Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones the likely candidates.
