Manchester United fans overjoyed with Jose Mourinho’s decisions vs Juventus

Manchester United fans were absolute overjoyed with Jose Mourinho after his tactical tweaks and substitutions helped his side win the clash against Juventus.

The Italian giant was in typical fashion a tough opponent, particularly away from home yet the Portuguese and his players ran out with all three points.

Juventus are favourites to win the Champions League and having made light work of United at Old Trafford, many expected a battering.

Instead Mourinho’s men showed real character in the first half and took it a step further by responding brilliantly to conceding in the second half.

Juan Mata‘s glorious free-kick was followed up by an Ashley Young set-piece that was almost forced in with Alex Sandro accidentally turning it into his own net.

The Spaniard came on for Jesse Lingard while the introduction of Marouane Fellaini for Alexis Sanchez allowed the Red Devils to physically threaten the otherwise sturdy Juventus defence.

Jose’s players did need a hint of luck to win the match but it was all down to their own solid efforts throughout the 90 minutes.

Fans had complained that Manchester United seemed to turn up in only the second half of matches but this was definitely their most complete performance of the season.
