Manchester United players have expressed their support for Danny Welbeck after the former academy graduate suffered a serious injury for Arsenal against Sporting Lisbon.
The forward had to receive oxygen and was carried off on a stretcher following a truly nasty collision which precipitated a long spell of injury time at the Emirates.
Welbeck, born in Longsight, came through the ranks at Old Trafford and went on to make 142 appearances for Man United before joining Arsenal in 2014.
