It’s safe to say Manchester United fans were certainly pleased with Marouane Fellaini‘s performance vs Young Boys after grabbing the winning goal at the death of the Champions League fixture.
Many supporters would’ve preferred their club to have won in a different manner or with a more comfortable margin but would’ve taken the win nonetheless.
Eyebrows were raised when Jose Mourinho started a Nemanja Matic and Fellaini midfield given the lack of mobility or dynamism but the latter player justified his selection.
It appears as though whenever fans doubt the Belgian’s worth or what he provides to the team he seemingly steps up in an undeniable way.
United are now through to the Round of 16 of the Champions League with a game to spare which could help turn their form around in the Premier League.
That guy who Moyes signed. That guy who Jose begged to stay in the summer and was given a new 2 year deal sends United into the final 16. Haters will hate but you've got to give credit to Fellaini how many times he keeps saving United. Respect needed.

My goodness. Fellaini is a better goal scorer than Willian.

If in doubt, hit the big man! It’s Fellaini again, in Fergie time. 1-0.

Fellaini. Unbeatable in the air, aggressive, good finisher, good positioning. Get him up top.

Mourinho’s job is on the line mainly due to the players’ performances in the league rather than in Europe.
The Red Devils have fallen short of the minimum objective of staying within the top four spots and are almost definitely out of the run in for the title.
Marouane has released some pressure from the players and manager but the truth is there’s still plenty remaining.
