Manchester United have confirmed that Anthony Martial has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2024.
The Frenchman appeared destined to leave Old Trafford over the summer having fallen out of favour and form under Jose Mourinho.
His performances this season, however, have propelled him back into the starting XI, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival notably accelerating talks between Martial and the club.
It was confirmed by the club on Thursday lunchtime – minutes after it was leaked on social media – that Martial had penned a new deal with the club.
Today just got a whole lot better! 😄 #MUFC

“I am loving my time at this club,” he said. “From the day I joined I have been made to feel part of the United family and I have been incredibly humbled and overwhelmed by the warmth and love of our fans, who continue to amaze me with their support.”
“I would like to thank Ole and his coaching staff for their belief in me and for helping me to take my game to the next level. This club is all about winning trophies and I am sure the next piece of silverware is not that far away.”
I do not need to tell you how important this is. Speaking generally, only David de Gea ranks higher than him when it comes to the love Martial receives from supporters.
United fans recognise a true United player when they see one. Martial has always belonged in that bracket.
