Manchester United players believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could get permanent role: report

Manchester United players reportedly believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could win the managerial role permanently if he’s able to do one crucial thing.

The Norwegian boss has exceeded expectations since taking over from Jose Mourinho as a caretaker manager.

Solskjaer has remained unbeaten in his nine matches so far, winning eight and drawing one, including impressive victories over Arsenal and Tottenham.

The one blip came against Burnley last weekend and considering how United were 2-0 down at one point, it’s a pretty impressive blip to make.

Many believed Spurs’ Mauricio Pochettino was nailed on to be the next manager but the former Molde boss’ fantastic start has turned heads.

According to Give Me Sport, The Sun report that the majority of the Red Devils’ players and the backroom staff believe a win over PSG in the Champions League would see Ole land the job permanently.

Player happiness was apparently one of the factors to why Mourinho was sacked so it’s a good thing reports claim Solskjaer is keeping everyone happy.

However, his impact is beyond just good morale. After all, eight wins out of nine is hardly lucky and he deserves credit for transforming Manchester United in such a short span of time.
