Manchester United fans won’t have to wait too long for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be named permanent manager of the club according to reports.

The Norwegian is currently a caretaker manager but his performances since taking charge has seen him quickly become the favourite for the job.

United have had a significant turnaround in their fortunes since the arrival of Solskjaer after Jose Mourinho almost condemned them to a terrible season.

The former Molde man has dragged his side back into the race for a top four spot and taken them to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Work still needs to be done but it appears the club’s board are convinced and are looking to wrap up a deal.

According to the Evening Standard, Ole’s agent is set to hold talks with the Red Devils over the next two weeks with the club cooling interest in other candidates.

It seems every week supporters are told the former striker is going to be named the manager of the club but multiple reports now point to the same direction.

Many initially believed Solskjaer was going to be named permanent manager during the international break but unfortunately that hasn’t happened and fans will now have to be a bit more patient.
