Manchester United and Marcus Rashford struggle to conclude new deal: report

Manchester United are reportedly struggling to conclude Marcus Rashford‘s new deal after attempting to tie him down for the long-term future.

The Englishman is believed to be central to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans and so any stalls in contract negotiations is a real worry.

United have started to grow a reputation over how long they take to conclude new deals which has left fans concerned.

Rashford isn’t some ageing back-up option who is asking for too much but rather one of the club’s brightest prospects and already a first-team regular.

Nonetheless there’s clearly an issue which hasn’t allowed both parties to see eye to eye and it may be some time yet until a contract is sealed.

According to Stretty News, the Daily Mail report that Marcus is demanding £200k a week following interest from Barcelona with his entourage feeling as though they’re in a strong position.

With a few years left to his contract and the Spanish side sniffing about, there’s no real reason for the youngster to feel he must submit to Manchester United’s will.

Although many believe Rashford would never leave his boyhood club, times have changed with one club players hardly around anymore.

If United don’t secure Champions League football next season as well, he would have even more reason to depart.
