Manchester Utd hit stumbling block in Marcus Rashford renewal: report

by Marwan Harraz

Marcus Rashford has reportedly put Manchester United under pressure over his new contract with their being a major stumbling in negotiations.

The Englishman is the club’s golden boy with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a clear admirer of his talent but his future is up in the air.

The youngster has been holding talks with United over the past few months with no new deal being announced of yet and no end in sight.

It appears the club and Rashford can’t see eye to eye over what he’s worth which is a serious cause for concern in a turbulent summer.

Paul Pogba and David de Gea‘s futures are also in doubt with Ander Herrera already departing the club for free; this could be the transfer window it all falls apart for the Red Devils.

According to the Mirror, Marcus only has a year left to his deal and wants a £300k a week contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford amidst interest from the likes of Barcelona.

It’s certainly a number that the academy product isn’t deserving of as he has plenty to prove still.

Though his potential is limitless, he is running out of time to realise it and there are still question marks over whether he has what it takes to lead the line for Manchester United.
