Manchester United are reportedly planning on going big in their bid to keep Paul Pogba at the club amid uncertainty over his future.
The Frenchman shocked fans by going public in his desire for a new challenge and it seemed he was certain to leave.
Reports claimed United were scrambling to search for replacements with Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans touted as a possible signing.
Pogba had previously admitted playing for Real, particularly under Zinedine Zidane’s guidance, would be a dream much to the anger of supporters.
Losing the midfielder will definitely be a blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans to revolutionise the club after a season of disappointment.
According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils will offer Paul a £500k a week deal in order to convince him to stay amid Real Madrid and Juventus’ interest in him.
It’s believed to be that the number reported is close to what Alexis Sanchez is currently earning and a number unlikely that many clubs can match.
However, it remains to be seen whether that’s enough to convince Pogba to stay at Manchester United given, at least publicly, his desires have not been about money.
The academy product definitely has a desire to win trophies and playing for Madrid is currently the more likely club to grant him that.
