Manchester United have reportedly been told by Crystal Palace what would be needed to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka in what is hopefully the finishing stages of this transfer saga.
The Englishman has been a target of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s for quite some time now but negotiations have been taking far too long for anyone’s liking.
Palace are open to selling but only for the price they’ve set and they’ll surely be keen on bringing in a replacement.
United meanwhile were attempting to bring in all of Solskjaer’s targets before the pre-season tour though that now appears unlikely.
Wan-Bissaka also desperately needs to know where his future lies so he can prepare himself ahead of what will be a crucial season for him.
According to the Sun, Palace felt the Red Devils’ £35m plus £15m in add-ons bid was derogatory due to the unrealistic nature of the bonuses with Aaron becoming frustrated by the clubs lack of progress. £45m plus bonuses is believed to be the bid that would be accepted.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem as though there’ll be a swift end to this transfer saga due to Ole’s side’s reluctance to negotiate quickly.
Manchester United must decide whether they’re happy to meet Palace’s asking price or whether they’ll move onto cheaper alternatives but the current situation cannot last much longer.
