Manchester United chase Bournemouth’s David Brooks as Romelu Lukaku nears exit

Manchester United have surprisingly targeted Bournemouth’s David Brooks as they attempt to use funds raised by the sale of Romelu Lukaku elsewhere according to reports.

Fans were hoping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would use the money made by the Belgian to bring in another top class striker but that doesn’t seem to be his intentions.

Instead the Welshman is said to be the one next on the summer target list, perhaps suggesting the midfield is a bigger priority for the Norwegian.

Brooks hasn’t been mentioned in the past but Daniel James’ transfer came out of nowhere as well, surprising all the United fans who had to then do their research on him.

Lukaku’s transfer hasn’t been wrapped up yet but the latest reports claim he’s agreed his personal terms with Inter and it’s now just the fee between the two clubs that needs to be concluded.

According to the Sun, David is on Ole’s wish-list but Bournemouth will likely demand a £50m fee which could prove to be a stumbling block in negotiations.

The youngster is certainly not worth such an amount as he still has plenty to prove with the Red Devils perhaps better off investing such money elsewhere on cheaper, more talented players.
