Manchester United fans were rightfully pleased with new signing Daniel James’ performance vs Perth Glory as he played superbly.
The Welshman was arguably the player of the first half before being substituted, alongside his teammates, for an entire new second eleven.
United supporters didn’t really know what to expect from the youngster as he was a pretty low profile player before making the move from Swansea this summer.
James though, proved just why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer purchased him first before any other player this transfer window.
The winger was pacy, direct and an incredibly hard worker that is pleasing for any fan to see as the Red Devils ran out 2-0 winners in Australia.
Now I’m not one to overreact or anything, but I’m pretty sure that Daniel James is the best football player in the world. ⚡️

Daniel James shining for #MUFC. I’m not one for premature hyperbole, but I’m just glad that a player has finally emerged who ends the Messi vs Ronaldo “world’s best footballer” debate

Nearly 15 minutes gone in Perth. Still 0-0. Dan James probably United's best player so far. Absolutely rapid.

2 minutes in and I’m convinced Dan James is the missing piece in the United jigsaw and I’m sorry to say that we’re winning the Premier League this season

It will be interesting to see whether Solskjaer throws Daniel right into the starting XI once competitive football begins or whether he’ll prefer his more experienced players.
The 21 year old is as versatile as they come nowadays so he’s not bound to just one position as he’s capable of playing on either flank or down the middle.
It’s likely James will be slowly bedded in but his match-time may rely on whether Romelu Lukaku is sold or not as the Belgian’s departure could see Anthony Martial converted back to a striker, leaving more room for him to play in.
