Leicester City star Harry Maguire did not have his Manchester United medical contrary to reports as he was present for his club’s pre-season friendly vs Scunthorpe.
The talented Englishman has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford though the transfer remains complicated by his price-tag.
The Foxes are believed to be stubborn in refusing to budge from their estimated £80m evaluation of Maguire while United are attempting to reduce that fee.
The former Hull City man has been outstanding for his club and country in the past season and it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned to him as the man to solve his side’s defensive woes once and for all.
However, Harry isn’t as close to a transfer as previously anticipated since he featured in Leicester’s pre-season friendly.

Some reports had claimed Maguire was allowed to leave the club’s pre-season tour but not to complete a move, rather as he was given permission for an extended leave.
However, that’s proven false in the end unless the powerful centre-back does depart after the clash against Scunthorpe.
Solskjaer will likely want a deal for Harry concluded swiftly as there’s now less than a month left until the Premier League begins.
