Manchester United fans delighted with Mason Greenwood’s performance vs Rochdale

Manchester United fans found solace in Mason Greenwood’s performance after the disappointing team display vs Rochdale.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men had to win via penalties as they were held 1-1 at Old Trafford by League One opposition.

Greenwood had multiple chances but was kept out thanks to good goalkeeping though he eventually netted the opener.

Many believed United would then see out the match but they failed to do so and needed the penalty shootout to overcome their opponents.

Greenwood was a bright spark in an otherwise dull night and there’s no doubting he’s done enough to impress Solskjaer.

Greenwood will likely lead the line against Arsenal next as well given the injuries to Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

It’s believed neither will be ready in time so a lot will be resting on the 17 year old’s shoulders though ideally that wouldn’t happen.

United want to cultivate talent without putting too much pressure on their young stars, otherwise Greenwood’s career could end up being a short-lived one.

Either way, fans have one thing to look forward to if the inconsistent performances from the team continues and that is a rising star in the making playing superbly.
