Juventus delaying Mario Mandzukic to Manchester United transfer over fee

The only reason Manchester United have failed to sign Mario Mandzukic so far is reportedly because Juventus have not had their asking price met just yet.

The experienced Croatian is believed to be a target of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s for a couple of months now but no deal has been announced as of yet.

United let the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez go without signing a replacement and that decision has come back to haunt them.

This time around Solskjaer is determined to ensure the same mistake isn’t repeated and so is believed to be on the look to improve his attacking depth.

Most fans have been open to the transfer, believing some depth and experience could help the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Daniel James flourish.

According to Il BiancoNero, Mandzukic has a ‘concrete offer’ from the Red Devils which he has practically accepted as the deal has only been held up because an evaluation with Juventus couldn’t be agreed since the Italian giants want €10m and Solskjaer’s side are only willing to spend less.

It makes sense why the legendary Norwegian would only be keen on a deal if it’s a bargain given the likely risks should it fail and how Juventus haven’t really used the former Bayern man this season.
