Manchester United’s academy products have statistically proven their influence on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s relatively young side.

While some fans haven’t been happy, claiming the legendary Norwegian isn’t putting the here and now as a priority.

Solskjaer invested in the likes of Harry Maguire, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka much to the delight of supporters.

However it has come at the loss of moving on numerous first-team stars with United now feeling the lack of their investments.

The midfield would be the priority one would imagine but it seems Solskjaer may have other matters in mind.

The need for depth is desperately apparent but it’s only for Monchenladbach and their history.

Solskjaer may be guilty of over-playing some youngsters but they’ve definitely stepped up as well.

United may be forced into playing the same players next year as well so the need for the current crop to do well is great.

Solskjaer definitely wants a better quality squad but he’s been let down by the club’s board who’ve been slow in their transfer movements thus far.

Of course Marcus Rashford is perhaps the academy product with the most minutes under his belt but it’s also been widespread amongst the squad.
