Bruno Fernandes proves his world-class ability in Europe

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has rightfully received lots of praise this season but it seems as though it’s only the club’s fans who truly appreciate him.

Many neutrals or rivals deny him the label of being a world-class talent but there’s a statistic below that suggests he is undeniably amongst the best in the world.

Ever since arriving at Old Trafford, Bruno has been talismanic for United and the spark for their turn in fortunes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Portuguese magician now seems to be a bargain buy and the hope is he can continue to lead the team to greatness.

The Red Devils must do more to support his sensational talent if they want to return to winning league titles regularly again.

Bruno’s numbers aren’t skewed in either statistic which makes it all the more impressive when all things are considered.

For example, Robert Lewandowski tops the charts but it’s obvious it’s because he’s an out and out goalscorer and won’t have too many assists to his name.

Of course, it’s not a bad thing but with Bruno on the other hand, his numbers are more evenly spread between goals and assists so he’s proven as a creator and a goalscorer.

Edinson Cavani has made quite an impact since his deadline day arrival at Old Trafford, but how much do you know about our other South American players, past and present? Take our quiz below to find out!
